About the Subject – UGC NET History

UGC NET History is an important subject for candidates aiming to become Assistant Professors or pursue research (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for UGC NET History Paper 2, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s degree in History or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- PG Final year students also can apply,

Minimum Marks Required:
- General/Unreserved: 55%
- SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Transgender: 50%

Age Limit:
- For JRF: Maximum age 30 years (relaxation applicable)
- For Assistant Professor: No upper age limit
- For PhD only: No upper age limit
